West County Zine

Welcome to the home of the West County Zine - now, before you ask, a zine (pronounced “zeen”) is short for fanzine or magazine, and is a low budget booklet on niche topics.

This zine just happens to be about West Sonoma County.

I decided to launch this not only as a creative outlet, but a way to show off this amazing place I live and all the people that make it amazing. I have no other goal but to share my experiences (and other’s experiences) living in West Sonoma County. This publication is a true labor of love.

 

Now, I know it can be hard to believe that something in this world is truly free. But this zine is free. You don’t have to subscribe to our emails, you don’t have to give your phone number, you don’t have to give us a penny. Of course, if you want to support and help offset the printing costs, that’s totally up to you. But the point of a zine is to be accessible. So we will never charge you a dime.

 

Plus, business advertisements in the zine are on a sliding scale of $0-$25, depending on what that business chooses.

​​The hope is that we will print 200 or more copies every month, and distribute them from Forestville to Jenner. You can also subscribe digitally if you’d prefer. But really, I hope you pick up a physical copy, read it, and then pass it along. I want to create something tangible. Because this community is tangible. Our impact is tangible. Real life is happening on the other side of your screen. So I invite you to put down your phone and join us.
